Beer and tailgating go hand and hand. I can't imagine one without the other. However, I think (and hope) you know my motto by now, so in the spirit of "elevating our tailgates", I present three beer cocktail recipes. These are all a perfect way to add a twist to the traditional tailgate drink.
Shandy
- Photo and Recipe: Eating Well
- Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of seltzer or ginger ale
- 1 beer, pale ale is best
2 tablespoons of frozen limeade
Combine soda, beer and limeade. Garnish with lemon slices.
Raspberry Beer Cocktail
- Ingredients:
1 cup of fresh raspberries or frozen
4 bottles of corona (12oz) beer, chilled
1 container frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, thawed or pink lemonade
1/2 cup good quality vodka
1/2 cup good quality vodka
In a large container stir together the first 4 ingredients. Serve over ice. Garnish with raspberries.To make ahead, stir together lemonade concentrate and vodka in a large container. Stir in raspberries and beer just before serving. Garnish, if desired.
Monaco
- Ingredients:
1 splash of grenadine syrup
2/3 cup of beer
1/3 cup of sprite
Mix all ingredients.
