I came across this awesome appetizer tree yesterday and knew I had to make something similar for one of our upcoming tailgates. The one above was made by Quilting by the River. Most appetizer trees start with a pineapple but then they typically chop the top off. I like that she left the pineapple stalk on. It makes the the whole plate more eye-catching.
There are some many different options for making an appetizer tree. You can get really creative and healthy with these. About Home Cooking has a recipe for a basic appetizer tree with meat and cheese. Betty Crocker has a festive version with olives and cheeses. And a fruit version from Ginger and Garlic.
