Tailgate Recipes: Slawsa

Slawsa is a bit hard to describe, but before I attempt to, I want y'all to know, it's very, very good! Slawsa is a unique combination of  slaw and salsa. It comes in 4 different varieties; original, spicy, garlic and spicy garlic. I've even heard a rumor they plan to introduce a "fire" flavor this summer.

On Memorial Day, the hubby and I attended a barbecue. I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to try out Slawsa. I made their deviled egg recipe using the spicy flavor. The eggs turned out great! I almost wish they had a little more kick. To me, the "spicy" wasn't that hot.

I added some Slawsa to my grilled sausage and even tried it on my chicken. I was surprised how well it paired with both meats. I think it's definitely a perfect topping to serve at your upcoming barbecues and a great way to "elevate your tailgate" from the typical boring condiments.

*Slawsa provided me with three of their flavors to sample. All opinions are my own.
